TESTIMONIALS

PRINCETON

LOLLARD

RB - OAK HARBOR HS

"I am very thankful for Tracy Ford and his program for the time and effort they dedicated towards me. Their program was a motivating factor in my life and really helped encourage me to manage my time, and believe that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to"

Princeton is the youngest of two siblings being raised by a single mother. He came into our program as a junior with extreme athletic ability and aspirations to play college football. At 6-2, 250lbs Princeton has all the makings to be a successful college football player, but we could not help but wonder how a kid like Princeton had not received any college scholarship offers.

FINDING THE PROBLEM

We have mandatory grade checks before becoming apart of the Sincerely Royal mentorship program. After requesting and viewing Princeton's transcripts, the problem was evident. Princeton had a GPA of 1.89 which did not meet the requirements to become eligible to play football in the NCAA.

THE CONVERSATION

Princeton's mom voiced her struggle in finding tutors because of their lack of financial resources. She knew she needed outside help if Princeton was going reach his goals of becoming a student athlete at the colligate level. This is when we admitted Princeton into our program.

Our "Academic Watch List" program mandates Sunday study table

sessions until the participants earn a 3.0 GPA or higher. Princeton was put on a strict plan with academic tutoring, training, practices, and mentorship.

MAKING IT WORK

Through enhancing his time management skills and developing

successful study habits, Princeton ended up having one of the best years out of anyone in our program. He lead the state of Washington in rushing yards, maintains a current 3.1 GPA and is now is being recruited by Northern Arizona and UNLV.

MASON STARLING

WR - FRANKLIN PIERCE HS

"FSP has helped me not only become a better player but also become a better teammate, brother to my siblings, and a leader in the community, I have learned so much from being apart of this program and I truly appreciate the way they took me under their wing and helped make me a better person."

Mason comes from a single parent home and lacks the resources that most student athletes need to be able to develop and reach their full potential. In the fall of 2015, Mason came into Ford Sports Performance for a training evaluation. Mason's main position is a receiver and at the time he had no gloves to catch with and his cleats were falling apart, completely worn to shreds. At that time Mason had little understanding of route running and position specifics but he did have a 6-4 frame, 3.1 GPA, and a eagerness to grow to be the best.

THE POTENTIAL

Prior to his evaluation we supplied Mason with fresh new cleats along with a pair of gloves and the look on his face upon receiving the items was priceless! During the evaluation while watching Mason run and compete, it was evident he had a natural ability that had been untapped. His natural athleticism needed to be polished and by giving him a spot with the FSP program, it would become possible.

THE CONVERSATION

Following the evaluation, Mason was very eager about starting with the program. Unfortunately, the financial status of his parents did not allow for funding to participate. Mason's mother loved the "idea" of having her child in our program but as a single parent of three children, working three jobs the cost was hard to come by. She knew Mason deserved and needed to travel to national tournaments, gain recruiting exposure, be around positive male mentorship, and go to college camps but all of that came with a price that she knew she could not afford. The look on Mason's face when his mom said she simply could not afford our program was heartbreaking and displayed the lack of hope, belief and faith that he wouldn't be able to take advantage of things that could help him accomplish his dreams.

MAKING IT WORK

Despite Mason's mom's financial situation FSP found a way to make Mason apart of their program, they covered the cost of program fee's, travel arrangements, camp fees, and anything else that came up. Six months later Mason was a full participant in the FSP program and his level of improvement was at a high.

By the summer of 2016 Mason attended his first college camp and was discovered by college coaches and as only a rising junior in high school, he received his first college scholarship from Oregon State University, a PAC12 power five conference school. Mason is now recognized as one of the top rated recruits on the west coast in his graduating class.
